October 6th at 1:00 pm
As part of celebrating the birth of St. Francis of Assisi (born on Oct. 4, 1181), St. Stephen’s is hosting a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 6th at 1:00 pm. Bring your turtles, iguanas, cats, dogs, or other beloved animal companions (yes, hedgehogs too!) and participate in a short, outdoor blessing of your pets.
Not sure if your pet is a good candidate for being in an outdoor gathering? Bring a photo or other representative item (a collar, leash, or favorite doggie sweater) instead! Children with favorite stuffed animals are invited to participate as well.
Gather outdoors on the corner of Owen Rd. and Pheasant Hill near the “Little Free Pantry,” and join us for this special event.
Consider bringing a small donation (a can of pet food, or a small bag of pet treats) that will be distributed to pet-owning clients at the St. Stephen’s Food Pantry.
